If a fire is noticed please let the tutor know immediately. If you cannot get to the tutor go to the nearest exit and ring the fire brigade immediately.
Do not forget to give the correct address and telephone number.
When giving information to the fire service include we are a Dental surgery on two floors with 7 surgeries, currently closed to patients. The area of the fire in the practice should be described and whether it is possible to evacuate everyone from the premises or not.
The tutor should be responsible for evacuating all students. The exit at Pinhoe dental centre is the patient’s entrance door located next to the training room (waiting room) downstairs. Once evacuation is complete everybody should meet at the bottom of the driveway. Wait for the fire brigade to arrive.
If your training is taking place in the upstairs area of the building please evacuate in the same way via stairs and through the downstairs waiting room. If you cannot exit via the stairway there is an additional fire exit through Emily Holroyd’s Surgery as indicated on her door. Exit from her surgery onto the flat roof.
Under no circumstance stop to collect any personal belongings or at any time put yourself or others in any unnecessary danger.
