The OSCE was structured into two parts: a Zoom call, facilitated by an Examiner, consisting of 4, scenario based questions. Candidates were required to give advice to a patient and describe the aftercare needed following a surgical procedure, as examples.
For the second element, candidates had to log in to MaxExam to complete a further 7 stations in an online workbook. The focus of these questions centred around the candidates being able to do things such as put the key steps of a process into the correct order and identify the right instruments for a certain procedure.
The examination consisted of a total of 183 questions. Candidates had 40 minutes to complete the zoom call stations and 1 hour was allocated to candidates to complete the remaining 7 stations in the online workbook.
