Course Structure
This post qualification will require the direct supervision for each topical fluoride application by one or more clinical supervisor within the practice. Any qualified member of staff can supervise you applying fluoride to complete your clinical logbook.
Five theory modules
Each module must be completed and its MCQ passed before the next unlocks. Written and practical work unlock once all five theory modules are complete.
Module 1 – Fluoride Science and Caries Prevention
Module 2 – Patient Assessment and Communication
Module 3 – Clinical Application and Safety
Module 4 – Professional Responsibilities and Law
Module 5 – Reluctance to Fluoride – Managing Refusal
Assessment
How you are assessed?
No exams. Assessment is through MCQs, written tasks, your clinical logbook, and a final reflective account. All submitted and reviewed online.
MCQ – 15 questions per module
A 15-question multiple choice quiz at the end of each module. You must pass before moving to the next module. You can retake if needed.
